End User License Agreement

Mauve Type is obliged to sell to corporate clients only, i.e. clients who run a business or are self-employed. Upon purchase Eike Dingler grants you a non-exclusive license to use the font software within the terms, conditions and restrictions of this agreement. By purchasing and/or installing the Font Software you agree to the following terms:

1. (Font Software)

As used herein, 'Font Software' means coded Software that generates typeface designs when used with the appropriate hardware and software, plus any and all other data including documentation provided with such software.

2. (Allowed)

2a. (Desktop Fonts)

The Font Software is licensed for use at one (1) location with a (during the purchase specified) maximum number of users. The geographic restriction does not apply to portable computers if they are owned by you. The Font Software may be used in non-editable Pdfs and other similar documents. You may make backup copies of the Font Software for archival purposes, provided that you retain exclusive custody and control over such copies.

Use of the Font Software at more than one (1) location or with more than the purchased number of users or any other use than mentioned above (e.g. embedding in Apps, eBooks or the use on servers) requires a special license. Please send an email to to discuss your needs.

2b. (Web Fonts)

The Font Software is licensed for embedding into one (1) website (limited to the purchased amount of pageviews). You may make backup copies of the Font Software for archival purposes, provided that you retain exclusive custody and control over such copies.

Use of the Font Software at more than one (1) website, more than the purchased amount of pageviews or any other use than the mentioned above (e.g. embedding in Apps, eBooks or the use on servers) requires a special license. Please send an email to to discuss your needs.

3. (Not allowed)

The Font Software or documentation may not be sublicensed, sold, leased, rented, lent, or given away to another person or entity.

You may not rename, modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, alter or otherwise copy the Font Software.

4. (Ownership)

The Font Software is protected under domestic and international copyright law. You do not gain the ownership of the Font Software or any part hereof under this Agreement.

5. (Limitation of Liability)

The Font Software may be returned or exchanged only if defective. Defective software will be replaced when Eike Dingler is notified within eight (8) weeks of purchase.

Eike Dingler makes no warranties, express or implied as to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or otherwise. Without limiting the foregoing, Eike Dingler shall in no event be liable to the licensed user or any other third party for any direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including damages from loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, arising out of the use or inability to use the product even if notified in advance. Under no circumstances shall Eike Dingler’s liability exceed the replacement cost of the software.

6. (Termination)

Eike Dingler has the right to terminate your license immediately if you fail to comply with any term of this Agreement. Upon termination, you must destroy the original and any copies of the Font Software.

7. (Governing Law)

This Agreement will be governed by the laws of Germany. If any part of this agreement is found void and unenforceable, it will not affect the validity of the balance of the Agreement, which shall remain valid and enforceable according to its terms.
